Services & wiping methods
We apply the correct method per drive type — documented (serial number if readable, logs, optional certificate). Functional drives are sustainably reused after successful wiping.
HDD
- ATA Secure Erase (recommended)
- Alternative: multi-pass software overwrite
- Logging: model, capacity, log ID, serial number (if readable)
SSD / NVMe
- Controller-based Secure Erase / Sanitize (model-dependent)
- NVMe format with secure erase option (depending on model)
- Note: For SSDs, Secure Erase/Sanitize is generally preferred over overwriting
Documentation (optional)
- Wipe log per drive (log/method/date)
- Serial number if technically readable
- PDF certificate on request (for businesses)
Reuse & ownership
- Functional drives are sustainably reused after successful wiping
- Non-functional drives are properly disposed of or physically destroyed by arrangement
- Ownership transfers after successful data destruction unless return is agreed in writing
Important: Defective drives may not be electronically wipeable. In such cases, physical destruction can be arranged. Complete systems/server cases/NAS units are not accepted (drives only) unless agreed in advance.
